August Swap

Attire Rotation is back for the THIRD swap of the year! Things are a little different this time around so please read the details below carefully! There are a few opportunities to get a free ticket - also see below.

Swapping is a great way to create a circular economy, produce less waste, and save money on clothing! The best part - it's cheaper than thrifting AND the stuff is usually cuter ;)

How it works:

It is a take as much as you bring system! If you bring 10 things, you can take 10 things!

You can bring UP TO 25 items! (If you bring 25 things, your ticket was $25, and you find 25 things to take home - that’s $1 per item!)

Each item will be counted & checked for quality

It is advised to bring items on hangers - but if you don’t have any to spare - you may hang your items up with hangers provided on site.

With assistance from staff members, you will be able to preview the set up and set your items out!

Please only bring items that are lightly worn, clean, and undamaged!

Items leftover are saved for the next event, given to local upcyclers, or donated to Out of the Closet / local womens shelters / homeless shelters.

What to expect:

11 am: Check in clothing & mingle! Please show the check in attendant your ticket to scan and hang any items needed. You attendant will check for quality and hand you a ticket with your name and # of items you brought. You will be guided to the swap area to set your items out for the swap. Your attendant will be there to show you where things go / organize by size / item / etc.

11:45 am: Check in CUT OFF TIME! Please arrive no later than 11:45. We can not guarantee you will be able to join the swap if you arrive later than this time. We need time to set up the floor and make sure everything is ready to swap at noon!

11 - 12: Enjoy music by our resident DJ @ashe__b and mingle with others! We may even have a few more things up our sleeve this time around! Stay tuned for more updates on this!

12: Swap starts! Don’t forget your reusable bags to shop with! You can bring items in your reusable bag and then we will hand it back to you to shop with!

12 - 1 pm: You’ll have the opportunity to shop & try on items (if you choose to). When you are finished shopping - please return to the check in table to check out. Your attendant will recount your items and you can turn in your ticket!

You are welcome to stay until the event is over at 1 pm or leave after you have finished shopping!

FREE ENTRY DETAILS: (ALL VOLUNTEER SLOTS TAKEN)

Two options are currently available for a free ticket!

Option 1: Volunteer positions are needed!

Volunteer Positions: (Must get to the venue by 10 am)

1. (2) Door / Gate Attendant: You will assist with the door / gate and helping others find the venue! Please be prepared to spend this hour outside!

2. (2) Check-in Attendant: you will help me greet guests and count clothing, provide vouchers

3. (2) Clothing Managers: assist with sorting clothes after they are checked in & get them out to the floor in a somewhat organized & neat fashion

4. (2) Content Managers: assist in capturing pictures, videos, etc from the event.

If you would like to volunteer for any of these positions - please see special tickets on Eventbrite.

Option 2: Help spread the word! If you manage an IG or TikTok account with a significant local following you can get a free ticket by creating a TikTok / reel / or post about the swap! This is accepted on a case-by-case basis and can be discussed further by emailing / texting / dming me! Contact info can be found on IG!
